Turned a MAJOR corner tonight

So we had family in for Easter weekend and had our Easter dinner tonight. The way it worked out, we were going to eat around 5.. .exactly the witching hour for the boys. Usually, one or both need to be held and are just a bit fussy. So as it was time for everyone to sit down to eat, I put both boys in their high chairs and pulled them up to the table. They sat through the ENTIRE dinner...munching on puffs, trying little bits of our food... just happy to watch everyone and everything and practice feeding themselves. It was SOOO pleasant and downright relaxing. It was super fun for everyone. I just couldn't have been more proud of them (I don't know why really... that's just how I felt).

When the boys were little (first 12 weeks) I was miserable.. I just could not ever imagine that I would enjoy this and that it would be manageable. But here we are... not so far down the road... and I loved every second of this meal with them....and for that matter, just life in general with them now is a load of fun and such an amazing blessing.

That's wonderful! 6-9 months were my favorite stage. Glad you're getting to enjoy it too!

 

I love when our LOs surprise us like this especially when us mums are convinced its going to be a nightmare!

We´re going out for lunch today with friends and taking our LOs with us. Im a bit nervous about it as they are both a handful at the moment. We´ll see...
