My girls will be two years old in a two weeks. I didn't think I had any seperation on my stomach, but it seems like now I am getting it? Has anyone had this happen? I lost all the baby weight and then some and started running at about 4 months after babies were born along with abs and light weights. I just started yoga and dance again, so not sure if maybe that is making it happen? I am pretty aware of my body, especially the belly area, so not sure if it really was always there...

I had a pretty big separation after L&L were born & it has been sloooooooowly getting smaller over the years since. I would think the exercise might have made you more aware of it, but I wouldn't think the muscles would have separated after birth. :pardon:

I wonder if your abs are getting more defined now and you just didnt notice it before?

There are certain exercises that can make the separation worse - like crunches, if you're not careful to hold the muscles together as you're doing them. So I do think it's possible for it to get worse over time. Of course it would have had to have been there to begin with. I doubt anything other than pregnancy would cause the muscles to separate in the first place. So frustrating that there are exercises that can make it get worse, but nothing that can make it get better! I keep hoping mine will improve, but so far no such luck!
