I'm having a c-section and want to go ahead with a tubal litigation...since I'll be open anyway.

My question is...if you had one... did your insurance pay for it? I still have yet to call and find out for sure.

Were there any negative side effects? I haven't heard of too many, but want to check everything out before I go ahead and do it.

Thanks for your help. This board has been great!

I'm planning on doing the same thing if i have a c-section. It really does vary from one insurance company to another as to what they'll cover. however, with you being opened up anyway if will be super cheap even if you have to pay for it. A friend of mine paid $60 for the tubal since they already had her open for her c-section. Good luck!

My insurance covered it when I had my c-section.

I've had no side effects :)

It's great, too, never having to worry.

Same here. No complications and insurance covered completely.

My insurance covered it. As for complications, I'm not sure. I have had a few things happen since the tubal(heavy bleeding, etc), but who knows if they are related. That said, if I could do it again, I would have had DH get the V.

I have not had it done, but I do know that my insurance does cover it.
