Does she have any history? She said she had a previous screen name. Anyhow, she wanted to be part of the TS Big Sister program and I told her that we required 6 month membership rule for Big sisters (her current acct says registered April 2007). Anyhow she's gotten kind of rude with me, basically telling me that the 1 rule we have in place is stupid etc. So I just wonder if have ever been previous discussion/issues with this woman. Honestly at this point I find her attitude to be quite negative and I don't think that I would even want someone like that in the program.

 

I have found alot of her posts rub me the wrong way, the thing that topped it was a thread here in the mod room where she contacted Cathy and told her that Eric's info in the Wiki about TTTS was wrong and potentially fatal. She was told she could edit it to correct whatever the invalid info was but to my knowledge, the last time I asked, she had not taken the time to do that. If it was soo important that it could cost a baby's life wouldn't you want to make the adjustments ASAP? Also, knowing Eric (no we didn't always agree about everything but) I can't come to grips with any of his info being that far off. His heart and soul is into TTTS and helping, very hard to believe he put soo much time into something that could result in fatality.

 

An interesting fact, she used one ip to register but has subsequently used a different one to post. Could she have thought her real ip would be banned so she registered with something else then realized her actual ip is ok and has continued to post with that? Maybe I am just digging too deep but the ip she uses now is definitely not the same she used to register.

 

She was on the "old" TS as TTTSMiraclesMom; joined March 21, 2007. She had seven posts on the old TS; you can read her in Eric's TTTS sticky in HI/SN. Now she is TTTSMiracleMom; joined April 21, 2007.

She did PM me about Eric's article. The last time I heard from her was on May 4, with a,QUOTE

Just a thought: She told me she is a RN; could be she's posting from work (look at my posts; I've posted from two IP's for years).

She said she had a previous screen name from a couple years back, but I couldn't find the one she gave me in the member directory. She said it was either 5boys4me or mom45boys, but neither of those came up at all.

 

I post daily from 3 different ip's so I know it isn't uncommon, just caught my attention when I ran the ip from her recent post in bedrest it came up as no members.

 

Ughh, she just totally got my goat and I fell for it. She bumped up a thread that was a month and a half old and told me to "get real"!

I think her post is totally out of line. People are not interested in only her medical view, they want to know the overall benefits/cons. She has some huge chip on her shoulder! Your reply was right on! I have yet to respond to her PM from yesterday, I'm still aggravated and I don't want to say anything rude. But honestly I'd like to tell her to shove her opinion 'you know where'!

You know, she's got a really sneering tone of "voice" :db: when she remarks to people that don't agree with her. I know this is none of my beeswax, but I don't think she would make a very good big sister even if she had a billion posts.

I totally agree! At this point she could have written a book on twins and I still wouldn't want her to be a Big Sis!

 

Where is this post. I did a search of her posts but found nothing. Except that her family has an outrageous amount of milk consumption.

Does she honestly think I believe that that thread just happened to be on top of her computer? The last post before hers was April 30.

ETA: Trish, I would just reply to her and say you are not responsible for setting the criteria for the sister program and if she has an issue with that she can contact the admins (sorry Craig!).

 

She has a very hostile tone!! I agree Trish. Tell her it's parameters you aren't not soley in charge of.....

And WOW!! Dianne she sure was hostile to you! Just not necessary!

 

It looks to me like she is very upset about pro "natural" birth people who have tried to suggest that c-sections are safer or some kind of cop out. I think her apology to Dianne was sincere. I think the person she was angry with was mom23cuties. And to be honest, I agree with her that mom23cuties was rude and did use "poorly disguised snide remarks". Check out her reply to Gordana.

THe problem was that she started her own post with such anger (the sarcasm and snide remarks sentence was a bad way to start...as I am sure she knows in hindsight). But you know, I think she made some good points. It is not helpful for people like mom23cuties to make women feel guilty or suspicious about their doctors' recommendations when, the truth is, most women have few choices (thanks to insurance and doctors' lack of willingness to allow vaginal deliveries of multiples). I am inclined to agree with that: it is unhelpful.

She also apologised to you Dianne and I think it is true that her remarks were not directed at you at all.

ETA Having said all that, let me add that I don't like her own overly dramatic style. And the bit about Eric's post on TTTS sounds a bit over the top. Love these people who rant about how misguided or even dangerous to babies other people can be, but then all the wind seems to go out of their sails and they lose interest and wander off. That's a bit of a Hmmmm? display. Like everyone else, I have confidence in Eric's post on TTTS. The man had a mission and he was very careful about checking his info (I helped him edit his work there, and I know it wasn't a casual thing).

 

I agree she is sincere but I was the first person to mention passing through the birth canal removing fluid for which she said "get real" so while she may not have intended me as the target audience just another reason to think twice because more people might be effected than desired. I was the first responder to the thread and clearly mentioned vaginal delivery being healthier for the baby which she finally did agree with me on.

I understand, now, the poster whom she had the issue with but Gordana also replied quite politely and tactfully. I actually was trying to put a line saying this same thing in my post to TTTSmom but I didn't think it was coming out the way I wanted (basically I was thinking it came off as Gordana handled it well, you did not and that was not my goal) so I deleted that part before posting.

I still don't believe she saw the thread because it happened to be on the top, maybe it happened to be on the top after she did a search of someone's posts or something but certainly not the expecting page due to its date of last posting.

I still stand by my statement in that thread, if she had an issue with one particular post in a multi page thread that was months old, she could pm the member for clarification.

 

Lisa has replied, definitely something to keep watching!

 

Expecting mods, any thoughts on where this thread is heading?

Yes, Brook was very blunt in her post, but I agree with her that the comment by ****mws**** was offensive. I guess I should say, I found it offensive to ME.

 

It was offensive to me too, for the same reason.

 

I think the thread is starting to take an ugly turn. TTTSmiraclemom is now directing nasty comments directly at BKimberly....
