TTTS or normal tight abdomen?

For the past 3 days I've had times during the day that I felt like the babies would crawl out of my belly button. It hurts and I would hunch over while making dinner and be scared to even cough. But, then it could subside later too... I'm nearly 30 weeks with mono-di twins and all has been perfect thus far. I think I've felt this way with a singleton pregnancy before at the end, like a vulnerability of a hernia. How do you know if it's normal for a twin pregnancy or a sign to go in for possible twin to twin transfusion? Thank you...

During my mono-di pregnancy (heck during my singleton pregnancy), I lived by the motto "if I was worried, go see my MFM". Who knows how much gas and time was spent making that drive for all of my "freak-outs", but none of it was wasted because it gave me peace of mind when I was having concerns. :)

What you are describing sounds like it could be totally normal for you -especially if you think you have felt it before- but if you are worried, ask to see your doctor!

Thanks, I was thinking I might just go in tonight to get checked. Better to be safe than sorry.

I went to sleep last night but am going in today just to be sure. I have some cramps today so I think it's just warranting a visit to make sure. I'll update tonight. Thank you...

All is well, thank you very much! The fluids look great and I'm only 1.5 cm (lots of babies) and not progressing. I guess this is just normal to feel at times like they are going to push through your belly button before coming out the other way. : )

I kept meaning to come back and post here, the time got away... Glad that you had it checked out and all is well... I was told by my specialist OB to lie on my back every morning before I got up and do a feel across my belly and gently prod, if I felt a bit of tightness which did not go away after a few minutes, to come in straight away to have it checked. I was never sure if I was doing it right and I was always nervous doing it but then again, whenever I worried, a few minutes later it would be subside or one of the babies would move!. If I was at all worried during the day, I would lie down and have a 'feel' of my belly and it would reassure me if I found no tightness.
