Hi everyone. I love this website - it has been a great source of information for me so far. I've been surfing thyrough for the past couple of weeks, and finally decided to join and introduce myself, hoping my story will help others. I am 20 weeks + 2 with twin boys and was diagnosed last tuesday with TTTS by my MFM. What a roller coaster it has been since! My MFM told me the options and so we chose to do the laser surgery to give our boys the best fighting chance. To do this we had to drive down to Houston (we live in Dallas) that same night or wait another week, which could have been detrimental to our boys. At the time of diagnosis, the boys were still the same size and showed no signs of trauma besides the lack of bladder on our Donor (Noah) and his lack of fluid. This was a really good sign for us. I had the surgery last Thursday and the boys were doing better by the next day. Noah had more fluid around him and his bladder was much bigger. Friday we drove home and i began noticing leakage in my underwear. I took a shower to make sure it wasn't sweat or discharge and called my MFM at 3 am Saturday. He told me to go to the hospital. My amniotic fluid was leaking, thank God it is a slow leak. To make a long story short, they pumped me full of antibiotics and checked the boys' heartbeats regularly, as well as did sonograms to make sure they were not in distress. I had a few contractions, but the more water i drink the better, and they weren't anything to worry too much about. The boys still had the right amount of fluid on Monday and were doing quite well. The MFM was pleased about that. I was discharged since i am not at viability yet, but will return to the hospital to stay in 3 - 4 weeks, depending on what i decide. If i go into labor my doctors are willing to deliver and give our boys a chance (of course they will try to stop it if they can). We are praying that the strict bedrest and obscene amounts of water i am drinking will help the boys to keep safe inside with plenty of water to swin in. Now we are just waiting.

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. Frankie is actually short for Francesca, and it fits her so much better too! She's a little pistol. That's hilarious that yours are always born in March. Our twins have the same due date as Frankie, of course they will come much sooner, but it's still pretty funny.
