I posted earlier today about my trip to L&D yesterday. And I just have to say that being part of TS has been such a blessing. I didn't realize how much until my doctor told me I had to go to the hospital to be evaluated.

Because I had read of so many pregnant mom's going, I didn't panic or get overly emotional and pretty much knew what to expect. I understood what they were doing when they strapped all those monitors to my belly and knew exactly what they were talking about when they mentioned getting the steroid shots. I just helped so much. Otherwise, I think I would have been a bit overwhelmed and gone home not really understanding what all had happened!

I am so glad that I found this board so early in my pregnancy!!

Yeah!!! I felt the same way you did when I was hospitalized. TS is such an amazing community!

(Now, off to go find your L&D thread to find out WHY you ended up there in the first place.......)

I agree whole heartedly. Even my Dr commented and asked me which website I was looking at because I seemed to know what was going on and what to expect - and therefore was really relaxed about it all. There is no-one I know personally who has had twins so the information on this website has been invaluable.
Thank God for my twins and for TS!!!!! :)

I couldn't agree more. When I first joined I only checked in once in a while but I met a local twin mommy to be (mommymeg) and she would talk about this site alot so I started coming on it daily. Even to just read and not post you learn so much. I don't feel nervous about much anymore (labor NICU) of course I want everything to go smoothly, we all do, but just knowing I can come and ask and learn helps me feel at ease. Thank you TS for all that you do and offer and special thanks to the big sis program and moderators. You are so wonderful.

It's true! I talk about this site ALL the time! I made my first trip to L and D last night and asked the doc if I would be getting Terb shots! She was shocked that I knew what was coming next! If I didn't have this site, I'd be researching all sorts of scary medical terms online and not be understanding what actually happens when you go. I was even able to prepare my DH that this was not THE trip to LD, but one of the many possible.

Thanks TS for easing our anxiety and our families thank you too!

I talk about it all the time too. I'm not working right now and we're new to our area so I spend a ton of time on here. I'm sure my dh gets a bit tired of "Today, I read on TS..." every night when he gets home!
