So I've posted about weaning off swaddling before.

They've slept unswaddled for 4-5 nights now. DS is doing great. I think he's sleeping better than when he was swaddled. DD used to be the better sleeper. She woke up a few times the first couple of nights. Last night she woke up about every 30 min. for the ENTIRE night. She seems to wake herself and can't go back to sleep on her own. Tonight looks to be the same so far. How long should I let this continue before trying something else? I want to give it a fair shot, but we can't keep going like this much longer. I'm not sure if it could be another issue, like a milestone DD is working on rolling from back to front.

Right now they are in sleepers and they also have a lovey. If I try something else the options seem to be:

    a) go back to the swaddle (maybe an arm out?)
    b) try a sleep sack
    c) try a loose blanket

    Any advice?

Is there any specific reason why you want to wan off? I tried to stop at 5 months had a horrible time... Went back to swaddling .. tried again at 8+ months .. worked like a charm on first night itself :))

I did one arm out with my girls before I took them out of the swaddle. Actually I did one arm out and then both arms out but still in a swaddle, and then we moved them into sleep sacks.

That is exactly what we did. It worked great.

Me too. Although we had quuite a few nights of interrupted sleep while they got used to having free arms. Eventually they stopped hitting themselves in the face and relaxed, Amber now plays with her ear and Ruby sucks her thumb it's so cute! It did take Amber about a week to settle. I would carry on a few more days or go back to just one arm out? Good luck!

Just to update, DD slept all night last night without waking. I hope this means she's getting used to sleeping unswaddled.
