Gosh, its been so long! Katie is either a really good baby, or I just can't remember what I did with the boys when they were her age. She eats, I change her, swaddle her back up, and she goes to sleep. I either put her in the bouncy or lay her in the bassinet. When she is awake, we hold her, let her look around at her brothers... what other things do you do with them? I feel like switching her from the bouncy to the bassinet isn't enough. She still really isn't old enough for a toy mat... but I did think about buying one anyway and letting her lay under it, and gaze at the toys...

Weird huh, Jamie? I had to think back..... I think you need a few more weeks of life before you worry about any of that other stuff. It's good for them to sleep when they are super little and they don't need a ton of stimulation this early. I would just enjoy this honeymoon period you have been given!! Crazy to think about it, but it would be a little strange trying to figure it all out again! :p

:hug99: Enjoy her!! I'm so happy you got a little girl :D

Yep...that pretty much sums things up! They eat, sleep, change their diaper and pray they don't fuss/scream/cry! Enjoy your down time...

That's so reassuring! I just feel like I haven't done enough with her... but she always falls asleep during or right after her bottles, so I lay her down or put her in the bouncy that way she doesn't get use to being held every minute! With twins getting into that habit would be hard!

Thank you all!! I am sure I will be asking a ton of questions!!

ENJOY these first two weeks of relative peace! It must be Mother Nature's way of letting you recuperate and not throwing you right into the fire!

Enjoy it while she's in that blissful lump-on-a-log phase!

Awwww how sweet to think about those times when you could just stare at the little bundle of joy. How odd it must be to have a singleton after twins. I hope you ejoy this special time. It sounds like you have it all covered. Take Care.

Yep, eat, sleep, poop, look at mom for a few minutes... that's pretty much it for 6 days olds! My kids didn't do much until they were older than 2 months.
