I'm 29 weeks and now I feel like someone is sitting on my chest. It's a constant thing, and I feel like I'm trying to catch my breath but can't... anyone else experience this?

I feel like that a lot - my DH even says that he hears me taking very deep breaths constantly that I never did before. I'm not fond of it, but I guess it depends on how they are laying??

Oh, that was the worst. I was constantly trying to take deep breaths to get enough air, and then I'd feel dizzy.

Yep, I have that. This past week the breathing has gotten better, but the lower down pressure has gotten worse.

During my c-section… I knew Seth was taken out before they told me, because I suddenly could breathe again… that was one of the toppers of why this sucks list… by the way that list was ripped to shreds on April 20th ;)

When I try to go to sleep at night it is the worst for me. I suddenly have to keep taking deep breaths. My husband always asks me what's wrong (like I'm sighing and trying to tell him something). Nothing honey...just can't get oxygen.

Yes, I remember feeling like that with both of my pregnancies at times.

I am almost 27 weeks and so stuffy that even the SinuCleanse, humidifier, and Breathe Right strips do little to alleviate the problem. I have already have one sinus infection into our twin pregnancy (I had four with my first pregnancy).

I remember ALWAYS feeling like that. For me, drinking ice cold water always helped!

btw, I love the names you have picked out!

Very normal. Once they move down a bit or change positions a bit you should get some relief. What position are they in now? I think my breathing was at it's worst when they were both head up. Try to get rest and take it easy. If it's too bad though call the Doc for reassurance.

I am 28 weeks and I cant breath to save my life. I weeze and suffer. Its frustrating since I am still working and on the phone most of the day. Talking really wears me out.

Totally normal. I've been experiencing it, too, and I'm not nearly as far as you. I can get out of breath just by talking sometimes!

I started having "breathing problems" since about 15 weeks. It comes and it goes. I'm now 19 weeks and it's gone for now but I'm expecting for it to come back. <_<

I also have trouble breathing pretty frequently. I found out today at dr appt that baby A 's head is right up under my ribcage and baby B's bottom is pretty close to A's head, so they are always squirming around and jostling for position with my lung capacity bearing the brunt of the lack of space. Sometimes is helps if I sit straight up for a few minutes, sometimes not. I do look forward to the day when I can take a full breath again and not feel like I cannot get enough air!
