I was going up the stairs with a bag of chips and water, then tripped!! i tried to catch myself which i landed on my hand but because my belly is so big, my belly hit the stairs as well. Since then I have been having some pains in my lower abdominal and i think (if im right) that ive had about 2 bh since then, cant breathe and belly feels real tight. should i go to labor & delivery or am i worrying to much and just need to take it easy the rest of the night?? I was put on modified bedrest last week, so im not sure what to do??

ps i still feel the babies moving so i know they are ok (im assuming)

Ouch! I would call your OB tonight just to let him/her know and for peace of mind myself. I'm sure everything is fine, feeling the babies move is definitely a good sign, but I would call anyway.

Id call too - just for my peace of mind. Odds are very very slim that the babies even were aware of anything, but Id do it for myself.

Let us know how you are doing!

I would at least call your doc, if you can't get hold of your doc call L&D and see if they feel you should come in.

I worry every time I go up and down stairs.

That is great you can feel the babies moving around :)

I would have already been at the ER, but I freak out about things like that. If it has caused PTL, you shouldn't waste any time getting to the hospital so they can stop it. Should nothing be wrong at all, you wouldn't be the first or last pregnant woman to go to the ER because they were afraid something was wrong. Oh and it is very important if you are Rh Negative to get a RhoGham (sp?) shot now. I fell while pregnant onto the sidewalk, lost my mucous plug, had some contractions, etc. but all was well. My OB gave me the RhoGahm just in case of any disturbance/bleeding to protect us all.

Definitely call your OB at a minimum. I had a fall a couple of weeks ago and they were able to advise me over the phone. You're probably okay but better safe than sorry :)
