So, had another ultrasound today. The babies are doing good ... 2 were measuring 7w1d and one (who was originally the straggler) is measuring 7w3d ... all heartbeats sounded good.

Holy crap! How am I going to handle a triplet pregnancy!!! My twins are driving me up the wall! And my DH is such a saint, he's basically running the whole house while I hang out in the bathroom and vomit!

All I know is, my sister better buy me a house or something when this whole thing is over ... or better yet, maybe I should see about a tummy tuck! I can't even imagine what my belly is going to look like after this pregnancy!!

So you probably don't want to hear that MS is good and means the pregnancy has really stuck? You are a hero, to your sister and her husband and her children. Heroes usually have to suffer a bit, but you can do it! You're one tough cookie! :good:

I would say about equal sickness with the twins ... but my sister is an angel, and called up our nurse and BEGGED for some Zofran for me ...

I noticed when I'm home relaxing (last week on vacation, or on the weekends) it's not as bad. But yesterday when I was up and moving around and getting ready for work, I felt worse. I got to work yesterday and immediately walked into the bathroom to dry heave for like 10 minutes. ugh.

But after that I was pretty much ok for the rest of the day. I forgot how much the MS sucked!!

Yeah and yeah for your sister scoring you some zofran :)

Do you eat something before you get out of bed in the morning? I kept something to eat on my nightside table and before I even lifted my head, ate a little and drank some water. If I could keep from having to eat and keep my stomach full it helped the nausea. But I have to admit, my nausea was not that bad.

I started taking Diclectin for severe NVP (nausea and vomiting of pregnancy) last night and I already feel like a new woman - you might consider it.

Oooo totally go for the tummy tuck! LOL Actually my doc is doing a sort of "mini tuck" at my section (we have already planned this) heck if I have to have another Csection I might as well get something out of it. He is only going to remove an inch or so of skin, enough to remove my old apendectomy scar and tighten my muscles a little.... a real tummy tuck of course should be done like a year postpardum... maybe I will look into that too!

Oh yeah.. duh... CONGRATS... glad to hear those heartbeats are strong. Sorry you are so ill.

I was just about to post that you should get some medication for the MS but sounds like you have. MS is different for everyone but here is what worked for me....

    sips of Coke
    vanilla foods like rice pudding
lemon oil (hard to find but worth it !! ) you just sniff it when you feel nauseated and easy to put in your purse
suck on lemons or smell them (if you don't have the oil yet)
    peppermint tea, or gum
    regular tea sometimes
watered down Gatorade better than juice in the AM and pretty if you have to puke it.
watch out for too sugary stuff, hot showers or heat can make you sick, empty stomach (hard balance)
toddler food like canned spagetti or ravioli or take out is good.

    hope these help

    Heather

I just saw your triplet ticker in another topic so I looked you up to bring myself up to speed and can I just say what a great sister you are! Congratulations! What a wonderful gift to be giving her! Good luck and I hope your m/s is improving!

I'm glad to hear the babies are all doing well. :D I can't imagine how you are feeling with the toddler twins combined with morning sickness. :( My boy is about the same age as your two and driving me nuts and there's only one of him. It was a good day today in that the worst thing he did was soak the couch, chair, and himself with apple juice. If there were two of him I might curl up in a corner. I hope you feel better soon and I'm glad your sister is taking the initiative to take care of you.

I just saw that a few more of you responded! I'm doing ok ... I had a horrible sinus infection that lasted over 2 weeks ... and the DAY after I stopped by antibiotics, I got hit with another cold ... so I'm sick again. And I'm not happy about it ... the morning sickness is still with me. Not horrible, as long as I take my Zofran ... but I'm looking forward to it being over. With the twins I had m/s till about 16 weeks ... so I'm not sure if it will be longer with triplets ... I guess we shall see.

My sister is doing ok ... she just had her 3rd round of chemo ... one more to go, then she starts radiation. We are all just hanging in there at this point, and looking forward to getting past all this crap, so that we can both start enjoying the process. Unfortunately, neither of us are enjoying anything right about now!

Luckily we have two of the greatest DH's in the world ... so they are taking care of both of us. And my amazing DH is picking up ALL the slack at home ... he's keeping the house in order, doing everything as far s the kids are concerned. I mean, when this is over, he deserves an award of some sort! In some ways I feel like he is the most affected by this process! But he's smiling, and hes a trooper!
