Triple Stroller?

I am 12 weeks today so I am still pretty new to all this. I know I have a while to worry about a stroller, but I couldn't help but start to look. I have a daughter who will be almost 3 when the twins are born. The only one I see online at Babies R Us or BuyBuy Baby is the Joovy Big Caboose. It would be ideal since I am sure Sydnee would love the little bench. But everything points to that thing being gigantic, heavy and not fitting in a lot of cars.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

Honestly, any Triple that I looked at was awkward to transport in a car. I have the Baby Jogger Triple which we still used this past summer. It folded up to fit behind the seat in my minivan. I had the Peg Perego Triplette as well and the one I had was not easy to fold up/put in the van. My twins were not quite 2 when my little guy came along.

We bought a Graco double stroller and will use this, my daughter likes to be able to walk.

I have a double Baby Jogger and when my son gets tired he sits on the front foot rest. It works really well and there hasn't been anything I haven't fit through with it, even the checkouts at the grocery store. Maybe your daughter is different but my son doesn't like to sit in the stroller anymore...you might be wasting your money with a triple if she will be 3ish when the babies come. My son was just over 2 when my girls were born and he decided at that point he didn't want to be in a stroller anymore so it worked out well. I do have a friend who has the Valco Twin Tri Mode as her daughter was only 14 months when her twins were born and she loves it (it has an attachable toddler seat).

I drive a Baby Jogger City Elite and my next older child sits on the footrest too - it's worked great for us. He turned two a month before our twins were born, although we didn't get the BJCE until the twins were more like 8 months old and he was nearly three ... I think Baby Jogger has a glider board that your daughter could stand on, although I've never seen it in real life ...

I have a baby trend double jogger and my oldest also sits on the foot rest when he gets tired of walking. Works great for us. He was just 2 when the twins were born.

I am now thinking you ladies are right. Triple stroller may be a waste of money. She does like to walk but will sit in the stroller as well. (now that I think though, I usually have to ask her to sit.) Sounds like a good idea to be on the lookout for one with a large footrest. :)

My boys were 19 months old when Annabella was born. When she was really little, I had the boys in the stroller and then carried her in the baby bjorn. As she got bigger, I put her in her carrier in the stroller and then one of the boys would walk. I would then rotate if need be if I was out by myself. And by the time they were just over 2, I got rid of the stroller completely and got a single stroller for just Annabella. The boys now walk wherever we go, and they turned three in October. But, I will say I'm lucky in that they listen when we go somewhere, so it's really not an issue with them walking and staying with me.

My twins were 13 months when my youngest was born and I also carried him for a couple months. I ended up buying a single stroller along with having my double combi and it worked out great. When I'm alone I always have one that wants to walk and as long as it's not my youngest, it works out.
    Good luck!

  10. I already decided on the Baby Jogger city elite but this sold me even further. My oldest will be 2 when the twins are born. It sounds like that footrest is practically a third seat lol. I seriously considering getting the glider thingy for her to ride on but I'm waiting to hear more about it.

My oldest was 2 1/2 when the twins were born, and I made sure she practiced walking the minute I knew I was expecting 2. She's an easy child. And a good walker. In the end I got a MBUD with Lascal Kiddie Board which was absolutely great. If I would be using the MacLaren, she had to walk, or if really far, I would pop the lightest twin in a hip carrier and she could sit, but that was usually while travelling only. I would never waste money on a triple stroller, especially not with a 3 yo!
