ive been on a modified bedrest for 12 weeks now, and even though there have been times i thought i was going to scream if i had to lay in that bed one more day, i saw it making baby B's cord blood issues improve and so i have found it very worth it. Last night i started having sharp pains on my lower left side that were coming and going every few minutes. i tried changing positions and getting up and none of it helped, they still came. Having been induced with my singleton and not ever having any pains at home, i called the on-call ob and asked if these were BH, to which he said " BH arent painful. You need to come in and get checked ".

So off we went to L&D with the sharp pains coming anywhere from 1 to 4 minutes but only lasting about 10 seconds or so. The poor nurse spent the majority of her time replacing the monitors because the babies werent cooperating and moving al over the place. Urine came back perfect, so they decided to do a shot of Terbutaline to stop the pains. She said " Its not bad, will just feel like you have run a marathon ". Hmmmmmmm.....can anyone say understatement of the year???? <_< My normal bp of 94/46 shot up to 139/97, the babies heartrates reached 200, i was sweating and shaking and i swear i felt like i wanted to jump right out of my skin and start running up and down the hall ( not that i could have with this belly ). Having to lay flat on my back in that bed and not get up was soooo hard. i could barely stand it. i Have seen some posts in here that have the words Terbutaline and pump in the same sentence, and i dont know how you do it. i would be screaming.

About 2 hours later the pains stopped, but i was still a wreck from the shot, and my DH was getting concerned for me. The nurse finally asked when she discharged me if i wanted an Ambien to take the edge off, and i swear i yelled " YES "!!!! That helped soooo much. Hope i don't ever have to go through that again.

 Of all the PTL drugs I took, Terb was by far the worst one! That drug made me feel like a crack head! I hope your pains stay away, and your babies hold tight so you don't have to deal with that again! You are doing a great job Momma!!

My reactions to Terb went away after taking it a while. Mag was definitely worse for me.
I hope the PTL stays away!!!!

Mag was way, way worse for me. I was on terb pills & the terb pump. Honestly, it wasn't fun but didn't bother me that much after the first week or so. It's one of those things you do b/c you have to ;).

Terb was awful for me, as I already had issues with my heartrate being high.

I am so sorry - I hope I do not have to go though that! I will pray that your babies continue baking and no more L&d until they are ready.
