so this morning i passed some strange discharge, very creamy almost, odorless and slightly white-ish. i called the OB around 10 and they just got back with me. i JUST had my fluids checked on Monday and everything was fine. i'm concerned that maybe this was the mucus plug??? sooooo since then i have had pressure, nausea and cramping with very sporadic contractions and the need to go to the bathroom (bowel movement) but nothing happens. she, the OB, just called back and said "go to triage and get on the monitors and get checked out"....******, again....oh well better to be safe than sorry. sooooooo now i am patiently waiting for DH to come home and take me into the hospital. hopefully this is nothing serious but still it's scary. i haven't seen discharge like this before. fortunately it stopped and hasn't happened again but the nausea and cramping have gotten worse :(

keep us in your thoughts please!

I am sorry that you are going through this....I ended up in triage so many times, they knew me by name....( I think that they were honestly happy when we delivered! ) HAHA

It never hurts to go and make sure that everything is just fine. I hope that is the case for you today. Please keep us updated. I am in Central Florida....where in FL are you?

    :)

I went to triage a lot during my first twin pregnancy ... it was also my first pregnancy ... so I didn't know what was normal, what wasn't, etc ... so I always felt like better safe than sorry ...

this time I'm a lot calmer, as I know more what is "normal" ... just to calm your nerves, my doc told me that it was the very liquidy fluid like water discharge that is the worrisome one. Mucuosy or discolored fluid is much more normal ...

as annoying as it is, I would keep going to triage ... because who knows? one time it actually MIGHT be something that you need to be there for! Let's keeping hoping it's not though!

Always better to be safe. But I did want to let you know that when you lose your plug it is usually a large amount of mucous and contains blood.

Hope all is well, keep us posted.

I have that type of discharge quite frequently.. however I don't have cramping or anything that goes along with it. Hopefully it's nothing and you get reassured at the hospital. Good luck with everything!

just got back, had irritable uterus again and they said that it will most likely be like that until the end of the pregnancy. the discharge they said not to worry about, they checked my cervix and everything was still nice and closed. so it was a trip to hang out at the hospital and aggrivate DH with sitting in that little chair. oh well, like everyone says, better to be safe than sorry.

thanks for all of the positive well wishes. it means a lot! :)

    Me too!

Kristine, glad to hear everything is ok. The worst time for me as far as PTL scares was weeks 28-33. After that I think I finally relaxed knowing that the babies would be ok, and my contractions actually lessened by a lot!

    Hang in there!

That is great that you are all doing well.....yes My hubby would be exasperated by the time we left there. The day we actually delivered we didn't even bother taking our overnight bag! LOL

I hope you are able to hang on for awhile longer, even if it does entail a couple more trips to triage!

    :hugs:

Yeah I just left the triage myself (1st time ever going to the labor & delivery this pregnancy) because I wasn't feeling movement from Baby A.. so long story short Both babies were fine I was just paranoid...And everyone said that it was better to be safe than sorry. And I did feel better leaving 2 hrs. later knowing all was well with babies. Happy everything worked out for you as well.
