travel toys

We are going to be traveling quite a bit this summer with our 2 year old boys. We have a motorhome and we do have a mini DVD player where they can watch movies but I need other ideas. What are some toys that have been a hit with your kids while in the car? Thanks!

 

I have the little travel size doodle pro type things. Those are great!! If I think of more I'll come back!!

 

As pp suggested, travel size doodle pros and travel size aqua doodles are big hits.

 

Mini magna doodles are a big hit with mine. Also viewfinders

What are viewfinders?

We've also liked mini magna doodles and stickers for travel.

 

'new books', small figurines, View finders, seek n find books, small coloring books & colored pencils (crayons will melt in heat), pretend cameras & phones, magnetic play sheets, popular CDs, Doodle Pros, stickers, tissues, rubiks cube, dolls,interactive music books.....we travel a lot (5 hours) to visit family!

Sorry, they're actually called "view masters". HERE is a link to one on the TRU site. You put the round slide show discs in them and look at the pictures. Mine LOVE them. We have lots of different discs. They're cheap too!

 

We're heading out for a long trip to Colorado and I just bought "emergency" toys yesterday. I won't bring them out unless there is a huge crying fit that won't be fixed by a DVD. I bought DD a Cinderella Barbie with lots of sparkle, shine and hair. I also bought her a My Little Pony. I bought DS an OBall and a powered race car. He also got a couple of little cars and tractors.

Hopefully that will help us. Back in March when we did the same trip, we had a couple of rough patches that were just dreadful.
