    Hi Everyone,
We are planning a Carribean vacation with the boys some time this year and we can either go right when they will turn 10 months (late November) or just before one year (early to mid January). Which do you think would be better/easier? FYI - one of my guys is an early crawler and is highly mobile so may be an early walker. The other doesn't even roll over. They were born at 37.5 so are pretty true to their age. Any other thoughts, tips and travel advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Amy

Sounds like my girls, one started crawling at 7 months, the other at just over 10months - I thought that the early crawler would be walking by now (they just turned 12months) but she's not, although she's very close to it.

So, just by going on what they were like 2 months ago to what they are like now, I would probably go at 10months as one being less mobile is a lot easier to handle than two crawlers. But you know I would more likely look at what the weather and tourist season would be like where you're going rather than their age, I think you'll probably find that on holiday and two of you with a baby each, it will be all fine, at that age.

I would probably go when they are a little older. Just because generally the older babies get the less stuff they need. For example if you bottle feed then lots of people drop bottles at around a year which means you could get away with not having to take them (or only needing one each for bedtime). I also think it would be nice to have them a little more mobile-I'd rather have a baby holding my hand and toddling down a beach than wanting to crawl along it.
On an un-age related note, I'd rather go on holiday in early/mid January than late November. Simply because I am not organised enough to have everything ready for Christmas by mid November and I would not want to arrive back in December still needing to get a load of stuff done. Also it would be a nice thing to look forward to in the new year which can be a little dull/depressing.

I don't think it will make a huge difference though, and like Tas said if you are going to be 2 adults to 2 babies you will probably find it easy enough whichever time you go.
