    Hi
I am going in on monday to deliver my babies at 37 weeks. [IMG] I was wondering if anyone had trouble delivering vaginally to a transverse baby. My boy is already head down and way down he is. my girl is across teh top of my belly but head down in the middle of my belly. I am scheduled to go vaginal. I just wasnt sure if anyone else had their babies positioned this way and was successful at deliver both vaginal.
    thanks.

I just wanted to say good luck!! I hope it goes well!!
my baby A was breech and baby B was transverse so I had a c-section
with my twins. my ds#2 (he was a singleton) - was transverse, they turned him and I delivered him vaginally. maybe once baby A is out -
baby B will turn or they can help him turn?!!

Sorry, can't really help you...I was in this position for my whole pg, except my girl was baby A and my boy was baby B....six weeks before my due date my baby A decided to flip transverse too... so I wound up with a c/s... you are in a good position though with your baby girl being the second b/c usually they are a bit smaller than the boy. Hope everything goes just fine... One thing I did when my kids were still in that position was to ask every doctor I could possibily be dealing how they felt about breech extraction or turning a transverse baby. Some of them were really confident and others were really hesitant. That made me nervous b/c I didn't know which doctor I would wind up with. But I take it that you are having an induction and that you already know which doctor you will have. I would think that if he/she agreed to the induction they must be fairly confident in their ability to do a breech extraction or a rotation if necessary...or they probably would have pushed you to go for the c/s. Hopefully your dd will be really smart and just turn herself down after your ds comes out!

Sorry I'm not any help either both of my babies were transverse the whole pregnancy. I had a c-section because of this but even if they had been head down I still would have had to have a c-sect because of the stress it would put on Jessy.

I too had to have a c-section because on of my boys was transverse. He was breech before that and they said that they could try to deliver them vaginally and that hopefully the breech baby, who was 2nd, would turn after the 1st was out. I was leaning toward a section anyway though because I was scared of having the "full" birth experience and ending up with a c-section regardless of my initial decision.

Best of luck to you and I hope that things work out the way you would like them to!

    I did!
Baby A was head down and Baby B was transverse. I delivered A first and then they were able to grab McKenna's hand and turn her to the right position and I delivered her vaginally as well..2 mins apart from each other. Now, they were only 2lbs each...don't know if that makes a difference?

    Good luck!

Sorry I have no input on this subject since this is my first pregnancy. Both of my girls are transverse, so we'll see if they turn head down. I just wanted to wish you GOOD LUCK on your delivery. I hope everything goes well. Let us know how your delivery goes. :D

It can happen as many posters above mentioned. But it did not happen with me  My boys were in the same position as your twinks are now. I pushed Z out easily as he was almost out already. But when drs tried to grab/pull etc J out his h/b plummetted and did not rebound. Most babies h/b rebounds and the drs will keep trying to get baby out. So I ended up with a section for J - but this is not the norm. I do not want to scare you just inform you to remember things can go crazy in h/b with a twin delivery. So please be prepared for anything! The most important thing is healthy babies and momma!

I hope it works out for you! I cant wait to hear all about it! B)

Good luck I hope all goes well. Both of mine were transverse the entire pregnancy and I had a c-section. I personally beleive that by being tranverse if gave them more room to grow since I am short. Sorry I was not more of a help.

I hope everything went well! I am in the same spot now, so I'm hoping that I am fortunate enough to have a vag birth. We'll see, have a way to go yet.
