I'm 24 weeks and since the beginning both babies have been transverse. I was wondering if some of you experienced this and when did they flip? Did anyone's stay like this until the end?? I am thinking that it would be easier for baby A to go head down since its right there at the cervix already. They just seem so content right now to hang out as they are, but I hope they turn before they run out of room in there!

My baby a has been head down forever but baby b keeps flipping between transverse, head down and breech...mostly breech and I'm 32 weeks so I would think there's still lots of time. Good luck!

Mine turned head down around 28 weeks. Once A went head down, B followed, They were transverse/breech/all over the place for the longest time. Since then, A stayed head down and B flips all over the place. LOL.

There is still time for them to turn. My Baby A was breech the whole time and Baby B, flipped around everywhere...he went between transverse and almost head down towards the end.

My transverse Baby B flipped to head down sometime between my 31-week appointment and my nearly-34-week appointment.

My baby B flipped from breech to vertex sometime between 36 and 37 weeks for me. Then she flipped around again to breech once A was delivered. So there is still time for them to flip around many times over. Good luck!

My baby A was breech and B was transverse until about 32 weeks of pregnancy! Luckily, they both moved head down and I was able to have a vaginal birth. Babies are amazing- they can turn pretty far along in the pregnancy!

thanks guys! I should just be patient then and not stress about it since it sounds like right up until the last minute they can move. I guess I should be grateful at this point that I don't have a baby up under my ribs and enjoy their transverse position:)

Mine were transverse the whole time. When I went into labor, the nurse checked me and said she felt hair. I was so happy that baby A moved head down. Then the doctor came in and did a quick ultasound to determine positions. They were both still transverse. I had to have a C section. Good luck. I hope they turn for you.

My two were transverse until around 28 weeks. Then my ds went head down and stayed that way. There is still time :good:

mine were transverse the whole time(only u/sed from 24-34 weeks) because of how their placentas were attached the dr didn't think they could flip

Mine were tranverse most of the second half of my pregnancy...and we ended up delivering baby A breech and baby B transverse.

Hey Mine were both transverse, horizontal right? But at about 30 weeks they both ended up head down. I think some sugar right before a swim in the pool may have done it. Gave them some energy and then super bouyancy to move around. God it felt like a swift kick to the gut though!
And now almost 5 weeks later they are still down, THANK goodness!@!!

did anyone ever attempt to do some of the manuevers to flip the babies? Someone recommended http://spinningbabies.com which does address twins somewhat, but I feel it must be different with multiples. My babyA is breech and I am trying not to focus on this too much, but I guess I am pretty un-nerved by the prospect of a c-section as I had a natural birth w/my first dtr.

I hear you -- my baby A (at almost 34 weeks) is still breech, which has been freaking me out -- I'm so terrified of a C-section, as many as I've seen on TV. I've been trying those pelvic tilts, bag of frozen vegetables on the poor thing's head, Webster technique with a chiropractor certified in it (am going in for fourth adjustment tomorrow), pulsatilla (homeopathic herb -- just about on last dose now), cat/cow yoga exercises, and tomorrow am also going in for acupuncture. Yeah, I'm dedicated to this! :) I hear that any of these methods are often successful, at least with singletons, but of course everything is trickier with twins. I do have to say that I felt an immediate and dramatic increase and change in movement after my first chiropractic adjustment, which realigned my sacrum and loosened my round ligaments. It seems like this breech-flipping might be a matter of leading a horse to water, or just pure patience.... as so many previous posters pointed out, these babies can make that flip really close to the end, so all of us in this boat should try to stay positive!

that is great you are so motivated! I really can't imagine I will do more than a pelvic tilt or too, I just don't have the energy to fight it so am just hoping babyA will show headdown for my next u/s in 3 weeks....

DS was head down from 24wks on (Baby A) but DD was flipping all over the place. More often than not though, she was breech or transverse. On delivery day at 34w0d though she had flipped to head down.

You still have A LOT of time yet! Sending flipping vibes your way. :good:

BTW, c/s are not fun but it went better than what I was expecting (I had planned and hoped for a vag delivery).

I don't really have any advice - my boys flipped up until the day they were delivered, but, they were in the same sac for most of it so that may have made it easier.

But - I hope they flip for you and are in the perfect position for delivery!

Our baby B stayed breech most of the pg. Baby A was vertex most of the time, however our suprise the day of the c section was that she was breech too. Somewhere between Tuesday PM (the last u/s) and Friday AM (day of C section) she flipped.

All that to say, there's plenty of time for them to flip.
