Both my lvs are sitting up, comfortably... so I wanted to switch them to the big tub and try
to bath them at the same time..
what do you use so that they won't slip or fall back?

I bought THIS & would put it in the big tub & do them 1 at a time until I felt really comfortable having them in the big tub together.
I (and they) LOVED the duck!! :good:

We use the munkin duck also. I notice ours are pretty close in age and we have them both in the duck. They love it. I bath both at the same time. I just have all of our stuff ready. I have one likes to play with the toy really well and she gets to get out first and dried and plays on the bath mat while I do her brother.

I just transitioned the boys to the big tub last week and now bathe them together. I don't use anything. They sit up on their own, though W occasionally stands against the side and tries to climb out. I have a 2'x3'x1" foam mat (the kind that came with out minicribs) that I lay them on to dress them and am amazed that they stay pretty well put until things are done.

Edited to add: our tub is extra large and has a non-stick bottom with ridges. We are probably going to get a rubber mat to go on the bottom of the tub, anyway, but I think that's about it.

We used a rubber mat at the bottom to stop the slipping, but it didn't stick to our tub very well and wound up floating. If they moved around too much it would float out from under them! I did that for about 4 weeks and then threw it out. They were fine without it after that month.

around 6 months we started putting them together in the tub, at that point they were just laying down... we just either put a towel on the bottom or something. finally I got a non skid mat. works like a charm.

we used a laundry basket :)
It allowed teh water to flow freely through and it had sides so if they did fall back a al ittle of slouch to a side there wasnt far they could go with 2 of them in the laundry basket. Once their stability got better we stopped using it.

We used and still use a bath mat with suction cups on the bottom of it and I got the biggest one they make and they do really well with it. Fill an inch or two of water and let them have fun!

We did bath seats for a few months at that age (7.5-10 mo?) and I used them for awhile after that if DH was out of town. I really liked that for doing both at once. I also had the spout cover, bumper and non stick mat after the seats. Don't get that Sesame Street bumper though it didn't stick at all! The one from One Step Ahead is supposed to be good. There was still a time around 12 months that they were just too wild to bathe together!

We have the Duck too! Our friend got it for us when our first ds was old enough to sit in the big tub. He loved it! I just got it out of the tote today to blow up and let the twins use! I cant wait to get pics tomorrow night!

We used the One Step Ahead Transitions Tub until they could sit really well and I knew they wouldnt fall backward. We used that thing until they outgrew it at about 11 months. I could put them in their together and feel comfortable that they werent going to hit their heads.

Then once they outgrew that I went with this tub mat.
