The twins are 1 now and are definitely outgrowing the infant seats. I've been dreading the switch since it's so easy to put both infant seats in a grocery cart and my items on the tray underneath. Now I feel like I have to find a new routine. How do you guys go out and about with kids that really need to be buckled in still? Am I doomed to pushing the double stroller and pulling a grocery cart with my stuff? The kid seat on grocery carts would probably fit both babies right now, but I don't think the seat belt would fit both.

I often pushed my stroller and pulled a cart as I usually buy too much and need a cart just for stuff :)

You can buy your own seatbelts to take with you if you want to go that way.

That's why I love Costco, 2-kid carts. I don't take them to run errands that involve buying more than fits in their stroller basket (unless it is at Costco).

I would usually hold one and put one in the cart. OR take the double stroller. I would never go to the store with the twins when I really need to buy a bunch of stuff. I always wait for dh.

I have resorted to either sticking to the stores with double seated carts (HEB, Sams) or using the double stroller.

We finally made the switch here too. If I'm not going to Sam's club, I've taken the bumbo seat and put it in the bottom of the cart, and the other in the front seat. The one in the bumbo was mesmerized by the sea of groceries around them!

I usually try NOT to shop with them. I go when husband is home or they are at Becky's. At Target, though, I put one in the basket and one in the seat (but mine are older than yours! You might fit them both in the seat?).

Sometimes it was easier for me to take my jogging stroller (walk to the store) and ONLY shop for what fits below. Save the big trip for when DH can go to the store or I can go alone!
