The boys drink from water and juice from a sippy without a problem but they love their bottle of milk. When I put milk in their sippy cup they won't drink it. How did you do it?

I finally went cold turkey with each bottle. We did the afternoon bottle first, then the morning, and lastly the nighttime bottle. It took about 2 weeks for them to start drinking their regular intake of milk (16-20 oz is what they recommend after 1 yr). Eventually they will drink from the cup :)

My kids didn't take subtle hints.. so we have to do just about everything cold turkey. I tried transitioning away from bottles, but they would just hold out for the bottles and wouldn't drink anything all day. So one day I just switched to sippies cold turkey. It took a day, but they never looked back!

I dropped bottles gradually, I dropped the afternoon one the first week, the morning one the following week and then the night time one the third week.
You could also try flavoring the milk with a little bit of syrup or add something like carnation instant breakfast to it. I do believe that helped my two ease their transition. Good luck!
