I have just finished a tin of formula and decided that would be the last one i buy. I and i think they are ready for milk. So over a 2 week period, 3 bottles of formula have become 3 bottles of milk in any 24 hour period.

I think this has done strange things to their stomach. Very runny poo. Not more frequently, so i dont think they are intolerant to it, but maybe they are??

did anyone else notice this? how long does it last? they are otherwise happy and well. Do you think its their system getting used to the milk? or was it too radical a change? it has been going now for over 1 week.

    what should i do?

I didn't have that happen when I switched to regular milk. I did mix the formula with the milk at first but only because they wouldn't drink the milk! (They are a bit picky) Are they teething? Sometimes that can happen when they are teething. Good Luck ~Mary~

When moving from formula to milk we put 1/3 milk rest formula and gradually moved onto more and more..took about a month. And yes the poo will get worse!

I just started the girl's on Milk this past weekend. So I'm not sure how they are going to react to it yet. I'll keep ya posted.

I did the same thing, mostly because wonce mine had milk formula was no longer an option. They would have starved before taking any more formula.
I do remember some changes, but they were short lived. I'd give it a few more days & then maybe call the doc, just to make sure.

We've been on all milk for about 3 weeks now and mine have adjusted fine. I did gradually go from formula to milk over a 2 weeks span as I wanted to use up the last can of formula. When we started transitioning to milk they were only getting 2 bottles a day so I put 3 oz. formula and 3 oz. of milk until the formula was gone, although the last week I made it mostly milk with about 1 oz. of formula. They are still getting the bedtime bottle of milk, but other than that it's milk in a sippy. If anything with my twins poop I noticed it got harder not runny, milk usually constipates kids. Be sure they are not getting too much milk. I was told no more than 16 oz. a day, the rest of the nutrients/calories should come from food.

If you have problems getting them to drink the milk adding yogurt to mine helped our girls to drink it
