My girls are 26 months. We are getting new carpet in the family this Friday so I thought we would give potty training a try. They have shown some interest, taking their diapers off and sitting on their potty seats.

I put Emily in big girl undies today and we have a couple of accidents but that was because we didn't get to the bathroom fast enough. I ask her if she has to go and she says no and walks to the bathroom. Most of the time she has then go on the potty. She knows when she is wet even if it is just a couple of drops and gives you a funny look.

Samantha on the other hand, I have no idea. She woke up this morning at 8:00 and we put on big girl pants and she kept telling me she didn't have to go. Finally at 10:00 we went to bathroom, she sat down for a min or two and then said all done, no pee pee. Well we put our pants back on and she walked into the kitchen and peeed everywhere. She did that twice today.

So, I was wondering if anyone has trained one child at a time. Maybe Samantha will see Emily doing a good job???. She keeps seeing all the high fives and stickers and M&M's Emily is getting and I think wondering why she can't have candy. I don't get upset, just tell her she has to go pee pee on the potty like Emily. She cheers for Emily all the time.

Ours trained 6 mos apart. We followed their lead and did it when they were ready. Ben had a really really hard time when we offered Hannah candy rewards in the beginning. So we stopped that immediately, as Hannah did not need the candy incentive to be successful and it was only making things difficult for Ben.

I was training both at once, but now Jake seems more interested than Peyton (used to be the other way around). I think we will focus more on Jake.

I have one trained and one not. I took their leads. Dani one day decided no more diapers/pullups. She even slept in underwear. Sydney has days that she will go in the potty, other days nothing. She was in the Gerber plastic training pants this morning, got real upset said I got then wet with such a sad face.

Logan is doing great with his PT but Keaton has no interest - our boys are just about the same age as your girls - I am definitely working on it one at a time. i don't feel like I was very effective trying to train both at once.
