My boys have a Geo Trax set that they really like to play with. However, it's all over my floor! I was thinking about getting (suggesting to gma to get) a train table for them. I was just wondering if anyone had recommendations? Specifically if you used it with your Geo Trax...how did it work out? I think they would love any train set/table but would prefer to be able to use the set we already got, kwim?

    Thanks for any help!!

Rhea, we have one but it only will work with one set up. They don't even make that Geo Trax set anymore. I think you can find out the dimensions of the table and the Geo Trax boxes have the layout dimensions on them, I think. Good luck! We have the train table from TRU.

We have a couple different GeoTrax sets and I just don't see how it could be compatible with a train table. They are so big. Of course, I have more fun than they do setting up the track, because I make it my personal mission to use each and every piece, but they are definitely a floor toy. We set it up once a week or so, and leave it up all day. Then at night, we put it all away, back into baskets.

Just get big buckets to store the geo tracks and forget the train table. We have a train table with the wooden track and most of the time when the girls use it the tracks wind up all over the floor since it can be much bigger that way.

Rhea--For Christmas we got the kids the Step 2 Canyon Train/Car table. It was reasonably priced ($100), and has roads and a train track. It is nice because the tracks are built in. Unfortunately I don't think geotrax would fit on them though. I will look it up. If I find any info I will let you know.

Kathy - is there enough room for the kids to play together? I'll have 3 fighting for space....?
