Toys - one or two?

    Hi all

Just wanted to know if one exersaucer would be ok or would two be better? Also what kind of activity toys did you you get at around this age. I am a first time mom and am pretty clueless on what to get them now? Not sure of the boys but I'm tired of the play gym and the leap frog toys (the caterpiller and baby tad I think) and other random small toys.

    Ideas please!!!

    Thanks in advance

We had one exersaucer and one jumperoo. It was perfect because there were days they preferred one over the other and it also gave them a good variety.

At that age, they loved anything they could put on their mouths. The First Years make these cute teething beads that my girls loved. They also loved little animals that had wings, feet, etc. that were made of scrunchy materials so they would make noise. If you have a BRU near you, definitely check out the toys in the Sassy/First Years aisle. There is a lot of good stuff there for this age.

We have two exersaucers (different brands) and I definitely think you need two of whatever it is... or one saucer and one jumper like the PPs suggested.

We have 2 saucers and 1 Jumperoo. We use the saucers a lot to help with the reflux. The Jumperoo is my DS's fave though. He can jump in it for about an hour and still be excited about it.

As far as small toys go, my kids are very picky about toys. It seems we only have a few they like. They have this one little duck that has all these tubes coming out of it. It is easy to grab and they love it. Last night we went and got a second one as it seems to be the one they like the most.

Some toys we have 2 of and some we have 1 of. Already though we have lots of matching toys. Seems everyone buys them the same thing in a different color, with a different story in it, or a different animal.

I would say some things you need 2 of and some only 1

We have the Baby Einstein exersaucer and the boys LOVE it. They go over to their friend's house (well, it's my friend's house so by default they are friends with her daughter) and they don't care for her exersaucer. She comes over and goes in circles in their exersaucer because there's so much to play with and she has such a short amount of time to play with each thing.

We do have the Baby Einstein jumper and there's not a ton of exciting things on there to play with. Plus, they haven't yet figured out the jumping part so it gets boring for them after a few minutes.

we have bought one of each of just about everything, since it makes for more variety, while one is in the jumperoo the other is in the swing or playing on the floor, we still use our bouncies, and we got 2 different types, so they can rotate thru and not be bored.....(we never got an excersaucer because of the floor space...)HTH

In my experience two of everything has worked best... if one has it the other wants it and if one doesnt have it neither want it...KWIM??? I prefered to have two of everything if it was possible.

I don't believe in needing 2 of everything, certainly not toys. I had one Exersaucer and they took turns. One on the floor, one in the Exersaucer. My boy was way more into it, my girl was very mellow to begin with. Buying 2 Exersaucers is expensive and they're way too big anyway. I just made sure I had plenty of variety so that I could move them around. Practical stuff, yes, get 2 (bouncies, boppy, etc.) but toys, definitely not.

Never had a Jumperoo. My first even survived without an Exersaucer, Swing and Jumperoo ... just no need, she was fine and happy without them.

We were given 2 jumperoos (which they love), we have one exersaucer, and one swing. I think we would be fine with one of each, but since we were given the jumperoos we definately use them!

We have two exersaucers, but one is still in box. We're taking it back to get a jumparoo so we'll have one of each.
