I am trying to clean up some stuff and get rid of some stuff. I already sold the swing. Do you think I should retire the vibrating chair too? Exersaucers? Playmats? Jumperoo?

What should I be looking to get for toys? What are your/their favorites? I got the ball popper and I am going to eventually get an activity table once I clear some room. What else? I'm bored. ;)

Cohlee, I would definitely retire the vibrating chair too. If they are not at all using these: Exersaucers, Playmats and Jumperoo then I would retire them too. HTH :) .

My girls used the jumperoo until about 10-11 months, so maybe don't get rid of that yet. The activity mat and bouncy/vibrating chair, I'd probably sell.

We got the girls a bunch of classic toys at 9 months old- stacking rings, balls that make different sounds, some cars, etc. The girls also got the FP laugh and learn piano for their 1st birthday, but I think they would have used it as early as 9-10 months old. Have fun cleaning out!

(oh and we still haven't gotten rid of the exersaucer- its being used as a creative blockade/baby proofing device... and then girls love throwing toys it in).

My bouncers have been gone as long as my swings! (retired to the attic for baby #3!) I still use the exersaucer and jumperoo to keep them in one spot when I need to do something around the house.

Toys I've gotten lately - an activity table - but it's too early, they aren't really interested in it yet. And books, we always get new books although I'm still not sure that they actually know I'm reading to them.

mine love their new activity table. AND they love the books that have touch-and-feel things in it, and the books that make music. they like small things (toy cell phones, this Diego walkie-talkie... ) that light up and make noise. and they love lotion bottles and water bottles :D

    Hi,
I would go ahead and sell the vibrating chair,Exersaucers, & playmats.
We bought our twins the laugh & learn kitchen & playhouse and they LOVE it! The singing & sounds sometime drive me crazy but it's worth it.
They also love balls, soft cars, anything that makes noise, and books. One of the gifts their grandparents are geting them for their first birthday is the leap frog musical activity table.
Good Luck! I remember it was soo much fun retiring all the infant baby stuff and starting the collection of toddler things.
My DH told me yesterday that are living room & great room looked like a daycare center! I said of course what do you expect when you have twins?
We both laughed and then I started crying remembering back those years of infertility thinking we would never have babies!

    Take Care :D

Our guys are 7 months and they are enjoying the Leap Frog musical activity table....we took the legs off so it lays on the floor, they LOVE IT! We got the Fisher Price Grow with me Baseball set...it is really cute, and they play with it alot! any musical instruments are a big hit at our home.

We are making a ball pit for their bday.

    Have fun!!

We got the activity table somewhere around 9 mos & our boys LOVED it. I originally had it just on the floor, but they seemed to like it even more after we put the legs on it. They also loved anything involving balls (still do)...there's one by Infantino (I think) that lights up & sings every time it's moved. They loved that thing (til the batteries died)! They loved the Sit to Stand Giraffe (also still do) & a little sports thing that has a basketball hoop, football, & baseball get up. Just now, they've started really getting the hang of putting the balls in the hoop & into the giraffe's mouth! They LOVED their stacking cups & stacking balls....both are still a huge hit today. Play cell phone, play keys, anything that they can put things into & take things out of, etc etc. I found 9 mos old the easiest to please!!!!

We retired our Exersaucer & Jumperoo really late b/c we had the room to keep them up. I think they maybe used them 2-3 times between 9-11 mos & cried after a few minutes during those times. The swing was gone a LONG time ago, as were the bouncy seats. We just got rid of the Boppies when we got rid of bottles.

I'd start looking into push toys. Mine didn't get into them until around 11 mos ish, but they're a HUGE hit now! I found both of ours on classifieds & got them SUPER cheap! Just something to keep an eye out for.....

We gave our jumperoo away, but only b/c we were gone for a month and I figured the boys wouldn't be interested anymore. Turns out we had to buy the jumping things that attach to doorways while were are here. They still LOVE to jump. Mine love anything that plays music. The still like their playmat b/c it has lights and hanging pieces that they play with. They are now using it (supervised) to stand with it. I still have the bouncy chair for those extra fussy moments when I'm alone and need to keep one happy. We do have the room though and I'm going to hold on to it in case I can talk DH into baby #3. :)
