Toyota Highlander vs. Honda Pilot

    Hello Ladies! I need some help. Im looking to buy a SUV. I really love toyota highlander alot. But I am so afraid of all the issues they have been having (recalls: speed acceleration). Any of you have highlander or pilot? Do you like it? Any issue? Or do you have other suggestion? I dont see I would drive a van though heheh

    We plan on buying highlander or pilot, 2005 or later year, about 50-60K miles. Thanks alot for your help! :)

    My BIL had a Pilot that he just traded in this weekend. He LOVED it, but traded for a Honda Civic Hybrid. It truly was just for gas consumption. He loved his Pilot.

    I have only drivent he Pilot and I LOVED it. It's comfortable and there was lots of room for the 3 boys, all of which are in carseats still, and me in the back.

    We are going to get an 05 or 06 Pilot next spring. I LOVE the Pilot. I love the highlander too but a friend of mine has one and I can't get my stroller in the back with the third row up but I can get it in the back of a Pilot. HEHEE I am not sure if I can wait another year LOL

    Hi, I was looking at both of those SUV's last year. I couldn't decide based on the pros and cons. I ended up buying a used Mazda CX 9. I got a good deal on it, and have GPS and a DVD player. Overall, it's great.

    I am looking at both as well. The Highlander has better gas mileage. I have not driven or taken a ride in either. Do some research about the accelerator issue before you write them off: Link A lot of it was just media hype.

    I am doing research though. I have been reading toyota highlander forums. Some of comsumers' comments really worry me lol. However, I am still reading more about highlander and will read about pilot as well.

    The Pilot does get better customer reviews on that site. I'd prefer to stick with Honda myself as I already own an Accord which I love, I just hate having to pay the higher gas mileage.
