Does/has this happened here in the US? I haven't heard anything like this but who knows.

Crazy their .gov bans ads when they don't agree with the product.

Regardless, this environment worship is getting insane.......scratch that.........getting insaner!

It’s the latest in a series of environmentally focused rulings by the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority, which has also nixed ads from Lufthansa, HSBC and Unilever.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I'm curious—has anyone seen how newer Toyota ads are being handled in other countries now? Wondering if they’ve adjusted their messaging or if everyone’s just getting more sensitive to anything not electric. Also, do you guys think there’s still a place for tough, utility-focused vehicles in today’s media without them being labeled as villains?

That’s wild about the UK banning ads like that — feels like things are really tightening up on what’s allowed. Over here, stuff like that hasn’t hit quite as hard yet, but who knows? Once, while waiting at a stoplight, a big truck rolled by with one of those mobile digital billboards advertising trucks for sale. It stood out so much compared to usual ads, maybe because it was so direct and honest, no greenwashing or all that hype.
