toy question

At my shower I got some rattles and toys that were appropriate for birth. When did you guys start utilizing such items. When did you kids become interested. My guys will be 1 month old on the 1st.

 

That's a good question, and I have to admit I can't remember! I would start exposing them to it now and take note of what they seem interested in. I do know by 10 weeks they were into watching the toys hanging from the little play gym, because I have a photo of it I read an article that said their favorite thing for a long time is your face so don't worry if they're not too interested in toys for a while. Pretty soon toys will be such a big part of their life!

 

I have to be honest and say I forgot too ... but I know for a fact that they will get A TON of use out of them. My kids are 7 months old, and they STILL love their rattles and teething toys!

 

I think it was several months before my girls were interested in any toys. Maybe 3 or 4 months old?

 

When mine started trying to grab objects, so at 4.5 months.

 

I think ours started to get into them about 3-4 months old. They still love rattles and teething toys!

 

for rattles, they liked them when they could pick them up. Or, earlier, I would shake them. From about 1 month on, I would work on tracking w/ them w/ a stuffed toy. That's about the extent of "toys" until a bit later

And yeah, at 9 months my girls love rattles

 

Ditto, 3-4 months old was the time my twins were interested in toys .

 

Mine are just now really starting to get interested and grabbing and hanging on to the toys and we are just right at 4 months.
