    Hi guys,

I was wondering if you have any suggestions on birthday gifts for 3 yr olds. I'm at a complete loss as to what to get for their birthday. They got a swingset last year, so that's not an option. I just don't know what to do. TIA for you suggestions. :)

Since our third is coming up, I'm working on it. So far I have:

    Fisher Price Digital Cameras
    New play food
    A play cash register
A cute little pink keyboard Jade couldn't get her fingers off at TRU

Maybe V-Smiles or Leapsters (jury still out...) - from grandparents probably if we do it

Dress up stuff? My girls are obsessed with the play jewelry and outfits they received.

Hi again guys. Well I did a little "shopping" on my lunch break and made this list so far. I have to give MIL and my Mom a list of ideas.

I figured I'd post this so ****mws***** can use the ideas too if she wants too. :)

Boardgames (Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Memory and such)
    Dress up clothes
    Playdough
    Aquadoodle (with extra pens)
    Sprinkler toy
    View Master
    Toy cash register
    Alphabet/number magnets for fridge
    Toy Vanity
Ponies and barrettes for their hair (but keep in mind that they have pretty fine hair, so if they’re heavy, they’ll fall out)
    DVD's in general
    Polly Pockets toys
    Disney Little Princess Dolls

Dh and I will probably get them one big toy for the both of them, and then a couple small toys for each of them seperatly. For the big toy I'm thinking about this

but I wonder if it's a little too short for them. Both of my girls are about 37 inches tall.

    Anyway, thanks for the ideas!!!!

Stef, We have that Sand and Water table and the girls LOVE it!

As for the cash register, I'm thinking this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C20MH...d=1EWN4JXZ2IPMM It's cool, it has a working scanner and everything!

I also am thinking Chutes and Ladders -- thanks for the reminder!

Marie, that cash register looks so cool. :) Thanks!!!!

I think we'll definitly get the sand and water table. I was looking at the customer photos on amazon and there were a lot of older (taller) kids playing with it fine. :)

Steph, I would avoid the Polly Pockets. My friends daughter spent the night after her 4th birthday party at the ER having a shoe removed from her nose. Another one of my friends said her daughter did the same thing at 3, but she caught it before it was too far up the nose to pull it out. Just a warning, because the pieces are REALLY small.

I also was going to suggest anything crafty or dress-up. My girls still love that stuff and some of it is pretty worn in. My girls also love their Doodle Bears. As far as Pooly Pockets, mine have them and also Disney Princess dolls that are just like them. We've never had any parts digested or up the nose or ears but I can tell you that at that age you'll be the one dressing the dolls over and over again. The dresses are rubbery and sometimes sticky to get onto the doll. Just something to keep in mind.

Hmmm, I hadn't though about that, and Reagan is always goofin with her nose right now. <_< Those might have to wait.

    Thanks for the info. :)

Thanks for the info. Now I'm defintinitly nixing them. I don't have time to dress myself sometimes, let alone those dolls. :)

I Hadn't though abut the doodle bears. Maybe something like that would give Reagan something to do other than sneaking pens and writing on my walls!!! Or maybe she would just have easier access to pens. :(

We have the Sand and Water Table and it's one of their favorite outdoor toy. My son is almost 41 inches and he has no problems playing at the table. We also bought some outdoor kids chair and they will pull the chairs up to the table to play. Mine just had their 3rd b-days and they got a mickey mouse clubhouse which they really like, an art easel, automoblox cars, balance bikes, puzzles, some disney plastic figurnes like buzz, nemo which they love to pretend play with, and some games. And Gramie got them a nemo water slide (we haven't tried it) and a nemo sprinkler sprayer (they have a blast getting wet and chasing the water).Have fun shopping.

We got the boys the the baseball and soccer games that are in the link.

They're not too fond of the soccer, but the baseball went over like wildfire, and my 11 year old dd loves it as well.
