I am totally :grr: that the Tot Clock is still on backorder! My DD has taken to getting out of bed at the crack of dawn and waking me up. She used to be my late sleeper, but now I am lucky if she stays in her room until 6:15!

Anyway, I did what any good twin mom does and searched twinstuff. I am totally sold on the Tot Clock, and it is still not available! I even searched ebay too with no luck. I think I'm going to go with the one from One Step Ahead. I just love how the Tot Clock has the timeout feature. :(

I had this same exact problem earlier this year. I was so ticked that after waiting for 6 weeks for it to arrive, I got yet another email saying it was still backordered. Slightly frustrating.

So I went to Target and bought a regular digital clock with extra large numbers (so she could see it clearly from bed). I covered the last two numbers with paper and told her that she needed to stay in bed in the morning until she saw # 7.

First day...no luck. So I reminded her again what she needed to do.

Second day...she stayed in bed until 7 but tortured her sister. So I told her that she needed to stay in bed and be quiet until # 7. I told her she can get out of bed and get some animals or dolls to play with, but she needed to play quietly or sing songs to them.

It worked!! :clapping: She is a natural early riser but it was getting earlier and earlier and I needed to fix it. This clock has been the best thing in our house.

They are back in stock!! I just received an email notification. (And now I am not sure I am ready to spend $50 on it when we don't have any problems...yet???)

Sarah, I got the email too and now I don't know if I want to spend the money on it. I'd need two since they are in their own rooms. I think I may try Michelle's approach because it is a whole lot cheaper.

We do what Michelle does.. they have to stay in bed and play/read quietly until 7.

ps: btw, jessie, just saw that your have the one from on step ahead. we got it too, cuz i didn't want to wait any longer for tot clock. but i can't stand it cuz the dial is so small you can read the time if you're more than a few feet away. i'm super happy tot clocks are finally in stock. i'm packing up my one step ahead clock today and sending it back:)

I still can't decide! With the discount, it'd be $90 for two. ARGH!

Ok, so I did it. I ordered 2. I figure if I don't like them, I'll send them back and only be out the shipping costs. I'm afraid they'll sell out while I'm waffling back and forth over spending the money.

this is what i did in case someone wants to try before they buy… as I need 2 as well

While waiting for our tot clock I took a night light (really a desk light w/ a low watt light bulb) hooked it up to a timer (the kind you use to turn your lights on/off when away) and told them “don’t call mommy till the light turns on”… its works… right @ 7am I hear “mommy, light turned on” and before that… they just play… mine weren’t 2 when I started this… so I wasn’t sure the big clock w/ numbers would work… BUT I like the tot clock for its other features…so I may still get it
