Rayce was just diagnosed with this - right now, we just have to do exercises at home.

Anyone have any experience with it?

    Thanks!

We did not have this but had some other issues that benefitted from cranio sacral therapy. I highly recommend it if you are considering treatment options. Because they are so young they will hopefully respond well and quickly.

Yes, we did physical therapy with a PT for 2 months and stretches at home (and have started the home stretches up again because we got lazy and it started to come back!). My son was diagnosed at his 2-month appointment when we noticed his head was flat on one side. He was fitted for a helmet at 4.5 months and is still wearing it at 9 months (Probably has 1-2 more months to go). His head was 12 mm asymmetrical by the time he was big enough for a helmet and is now 3 mm and looking much better. We tried to position him differently as recommended, but the torticollis meant he was always sleeping with his head turned to the right (and I wasn't comfortable sleeping him on his tummy at night). I tried propping him on the other side, etc, and never had any luck and his head just kept getting flatter and flatter.

Definitely do the exercises religiously! It helps. Lots of tummy time; reduce time on the back, in the swing, etc, to help keep the head from getting flat on that side. Watch for signs of flattening on the favoured side.

Chana'le was diagnosed with this, but by the time they got us and in-home therapist it had mostly cleared up on its own. The therapist did show me all the stretches to do and I did them sometimes.

Thanks! We have already been working with him before we took him today, so we'll continue!!
