    Hello everyone!

I have lurked on TS for a LONG time and have just decided to join your wonderful world. I am 35w1d along with mo/di boys, and I am so ready to meet these boys! I have been on modified bedrest, then strict bedrest, then sort-of a combination of the two since December. Thus, I've been on maternity leave since December (I teach HS history), and I've been trying to not go crazy.

Thanks for letting me be part of your family!

    Hey Becky-
I'm glad you joined. I am only about three weeks behind you in due date. I teach MS Business Technology and went to half days in December. I don't know how I would have made it teaching full time. I remember thinking it is ridiculous that I was going on modified work, but every day I was also spending both team planning and personal planning in the nurse's office laying down. It really was the best choice. What state are you a teacher in? I'm having a hard time figuring out how much I end up having to create for my sub before I go on full-time work release at the end of this month. Since there is no real curriculum/text book, a lot of it just needs to be created by me. Fortunately, she's pretty good and basically knows what my goals are for the classes.

I figure I have about four to six more weeks, so if you are at 35 weeks, you are almost there! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Welcome to TS!! I lurk more than I post, but had to chime in when I saw your post...I am 35w 5d, so just a titch ahead of you. I have a c section scheduled for 2/27, assuming they stay put that long. Both babes are breech. Do you have a delivery date? Just being nosy...does the 716 in your name mean anything? My birthday is 7/16, so I thought maybe we had the in common too :)

I teach in SC. I started my maternity leave at Christmas, and I actually didn't do too much for my sub. He shadowed me for a couple of days, and I left him some info, but for the most part I've left the planning to him. It's been nice to not worry about things!

Baby A is head down, and Baby B is breech, so we're going with a C-section too. I know so many people have delivered vaginally when Baby B is breech, but DH and I feel more comfortable just doing the C-section. I don't have a scheduled date yet, though if I don't go into labor on my own this week, I think I'll ask for a date. My OB's surgery days are Wednesdays, so it'll be either Feb. 20 or Feb. 27 (like you!) if we have to schedule. I'm hoping I'll go sometime this week....I'm so incredibly miserable! Oh, and 7/16 is our anniversary. My bday is 8/16. ;)

And thanks to everyone for the welcome! I hope I get to post a birth story soon!!!!!

Congratulations Becky and welcome to TS! That's great that you've joined. Being on bedrest will be just a little bit easier with someone to talk to. :hug99:

Hi Becky! congrats on your twins -- I guess we'll be getting a birth story pretty soon, too!
I was an (Art) History major in college -- seems like worlds away now.
