I guess I spoke too soon last week - this week my NST took 1 1/2-2 hours because baby B was a'moving and a'shaking the whole time and wouldn't stay on the monitor for the time necessary. Finally the nurses just squished my belly with the monitors until they could get the tracing (course, then I started having contractions because they were pushing on my uterus for 20 minutes). Anyway, on the US before hand we could see breathing movements and sucking movements -- that was cool!

(Also, trying to test my ticker and see if it'll work since it hasn't done that).

    Have a good day!

That happened to me too. I thought they weren't moving so I called the doctor, he told me to come in for an NST. By the time I got there they were moving so much they could not even get them on the monitors. I stopped worrying so much after that.

I had one NST out of the hospital and the girls kicked the monitors off everytime. They did BPP(biophysical profiles) instead to make sure the girls were moving and doing everything they were supposed to. I did have several in the hospital and they had the same problem there but there wasn't a u/s tech handy to scan them all the time.

I remember one time I held the monitors on and moved them around  .

Sounds like things are going well! I loved watching the practice breathing!

    Your ticker looks perfect too!

they definately vary in length...I think a lot of it has to do with the patience of the nurse doing it. My boys are always so busy its hard to keep them on but the nurse I had last Friday took 3-1/2 hours, the nurse I had Monday took 45 minutes.
