I can't figure out how to search this forum. Is it normal to experience a ton of discharge? I am 26 weeks pregnant.

I guess it depends on the type. If it is thick and creamy or foul smelling, yellow etc. then I would call your OB. I think if it is just basically thin, clear, and slightly mucousy then it is normal but no harm in asking anyway :D

    Hi Kindra,

The way that I do searches of the forums is to go to the box at the top left of the screen that is labeled "Quick Search." Just enter your search words and hit the "Go" button. It comes in quite handy for me.

As far as discharge goes, I get alot more during pregnancy in general, and at times it is worse than at other times. Can't really figure out the rhyme or reason, but I guess it probably has to do with hormones...

I have this problem, since EARLY.

The answer is yes and no.

I was getting SO much discharge, I went to the hospital because I had a GUSH of clear, watery fluid come out. I was wearing a heavy duty pad and it SOAKED though half of it.

I have to wear a regular pad every day.

However, when I got even more discharge, where it completely soaked a heavy duty pad I got checked 2X. The first time said I was fine. The second time it was found I had mild bacterial vaginosis.

Although I still have a lot of discharge, it went down a lot after the antibiotics.

I would check with your OB or Peri if the amount of discharge has changed.

    I hope this helps!

I'd call your doctor, just to be totally safe. But I had a ton of discharge at that point, like enough that a pantiliner was not enough coverage. I was on hospital bedrest so they could obviously check it, and it was fine and they assured me it was normal.

I was leaking fluid at around 29-30 weeks and for a while I just thought I was peeing myself. :p If you feel like that you might want to get checked out to make sure it isn't amniotic fluid.
