ok so tomorrow night when the kids get sippies instead of bottles what should I expect?
    a tantrum?
will it affect their sleep if they don't drink enough of the sippy?
will they fight bedtime without having a bottle?

Once they were done with the bottles they did not miss them, no tantrums here, sleep was not affected and they did not fight bedtime. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

The first night, Aaron threw the sippy across the room in a fit of rage. So we just put him to bed and never looked back. We didn't even attempt a sippy after that.

I just did the same thing this week. They didn't throw tantrums, but they noticed the difference. They didn't drink as smoothly, but nothing has changed in terms of their sleep. Tonight, they took the sippy with no problem, drank it, and put it aside. Good luck!

So last night, def a tantrum occurred from ds, dd could have cared less, but neither drank much. Tonight was much more successful:) Both drank all 6 oz in one sitting! :) Yes! onto the next battle.......same as you all are posting.....hair pulling, pinching, biting, stealing toys.....throwing food, ah the terrible twos, so much fun! :(

I'm glad it went well! The transition from bottles to all sippies was definitely harder on me than it was for my girls.

We had really no issues at all with dropping the bottle. I was surprised by how easy it was for us really.
