I have been so lucky for the past 6 weeks but it all must end some time. My mom is leaving!!! She flew in 6 weeks ago to help with the boys and tomorrow morning she is flying back to Chicago. I am so thankful and grateful that she was with me for those 6 weeks. I am so blessed. But as of tomorrow morning we will be on our own. I am lucky as my DH works from home but it will be so different without her. She has been so helpful not only with the boys and house chores but she has been my rock through rough day. I am going to miss her!!!

 Good luck to you. I'm sure you will do great! It probably will just take a few weeks to adjust but after that you'll be fine.

My mom left after 6 weeks too and DH left a week later for two and a half months! You really can do this! There will be some tough days, but you'll do great! :youcandoit:

My MIL was here with us for a looooonnnnnggg time and I felt truly blessed to have help for that long!
I know how you feel losing both your moral support and your physical support! :) But, you will do great
on your own! Mine are 11 months now and some days I still feel like I just can't handle everything...but
my mom said something terrific and TRUE to me the other day when I was crying to her and telling her I
was so exhausted and how can I keep doing this everyday, etc...she said, "well honey they were in your
belly for all that time and of course you can still 'carry' them!" She was right, I'm their mother and
I DID carry them through a rough pregnancy so YES I can do this! Just remember that. That is one thing
we twin mom's have in common. Strength. Even when we don't feel like we are, we are strong! Hugs to you!
    You will do wonderfully mommy!

Agnes, I know that feeling all to well... my mom stayed here for six weeks to help us out too. As much as you will miss her and things will be different, you will be just fine. AND at the end of the day you'll feel so proud and alot more tired.

How nice of her to help for those first several weeks! Doing it without her will take a little getting used to but you'll be fine and doing it all on your own in no time. You just have to jump in with both feet. Let us know how it's going!

My mom is here with me, too. She is leaving in 3 weeks (she came for 3 months!) and I am already freaking out...lol
I started to feed the boys by myself this week, I don't let her do anything with them and around them. I cook, and I clean, I also do the laundry. I try to prepare myself for the time I has to do this all alone.
It's not easy. My mom can rock the boys to sleep in no time. I will definitely miss her company, too.
But I think you'll be able to handle everything. You are a great mommy and it'll work out. There will be all sorts of days ahead, but you'll make them work for you.

I hope your first day went well  I remember being nervous on my first day alone with the babies and it went better then I expected.
