    Sippies or sippys???

I see it both ways all the time. And when I am typing it out I have to think about how to spell it. How about you?

Sippies. Unless your sippy has a sippy and then it would be sippy's sippy. Or if you have multiple sippies and they have a sippy jointly, it would be sippies' sippy. :p

I teach English As A Foreign Language (EFL) and the spelling rule is:

nouns ending consonant + y = lose the y and add IES
    e.g.
    sippy - sippies
    hippy - hippies

    nouns ending vowel + y = just add S
    e.g.
    key - keys
    monkey - monkeys

    Hope that helps! :)

"Sippies" would be the standard way to make a noun ending in "y" plural. There are probably a few exceptions (none that I can think of), but "sippys" would be a major deviation from standard English, and so an unlikely plural form.

eta: Just saw what Rachel said above me after I posted. That's exactly what I was trying to say. :D
