    Hi:
My 16 month old boy bangs hid head on floor during tantrums. If he is sitting on high chair he hits the back of his head to the backrest of the high chair. He keeps doing this during tantrums until I get him. Do any of yours go through the same thing??? any suggestions?

My girls are 20 months and one of them does the same thing. I actually just posted about this yesterday. Right now all of the advice I have been getting is to ignore the behavior. GL!!

Hi.... I have twin girls who do the same thing! What I do is ignore them as if I can't see or hear what they're doing... if the tantrum continues, I pick up the twin throwing the tantrum and wash her little face with water. My mom told me to do that and it works, believe it or not!

Oh boy, Annika does this all the time. I try to catch her because I'm sure it hurts, but . . .
eventually I'm sure she'll learn, and the least attention you pay to the tantrum the better in my opinion. My DD1 didn't throw tantrums like that, though, so we'll see how I handle it as time goes on.

Yes we went through the same thing and occasionally Ryan still does it. Nothing you can do to stop it, eventually they learn that it hurt much more than it's worth.

One of mine does this. Pediatrician told me to ignore it. He seems to do it less than he did when it peaked around 15 months.
