We were at a 4 of July picnic/party yesterday and the host had a toddler-sized collapsable beach chair for two with little cup holders/table inbetween. It was so adorable and the boys were TICKLED sitting in it.

I'm considering purchasing something for them for the house. I was hoping to find something they could both sit on together. Is it worth the bother? Are they just going to outgrow it before they slow down long enough to sit on it?

Would you consider the flip open sofa? I got a couple of those for K&K when they were younger, they used them as couches but we also used them as beds at our summer house for a couple years then I passed them along to another twin mom. They used them together and separate depending on the day.

We have this one. It may be more girly than you'd like for 2 boys but if they like Dora then I'd say go for it. My girls really do like it. I can't say they really sit down next to each other to watch t.v. the way I envisioned it but they do love this little sofa. They will sometimes sit in it but not for too long. Now that one dd can climb up on the couch, she will get up there instead and use the little couch to help her climb up sometimes  More than anything, they like to open it up and lay on it. It opens into a little bed with a zip on/off blanket. It's really cute. I don't know if it was entirely worth it but hey, it's just another thing that keeps them somewhat entertained so I guess it's worth something ;)

We have this one, and my girls love it. They got it for a early birthday present. ;) Its one of their favorite things to play with. I got one for each and I put them together (back to back) and the girls love to climb all over it. Liberty likes to flip them open and push them all over the living room. They were well worth the money. :)

I bought a used one at a yard sale for $3 ... it needs a new cover, but I keep a sheet over it and they LOVE it. They do not sit next to each other much, not yet anyway.

AH, this is a GREAT idea and solves my other problem (keeping climbers safe). That way there is something (relatively safe) for them to climb on AND I don't have to drag that hideous Kangaroo Climber into my living room!

    Great tip, Trish!

Yes, the flip out couches are great. We used them as "cushions" near the foot of the couch when mine where unstable on the couches and used to fall/jump off. But mine still love to sit on their couches and watch their movies.

We have the collapsable double chair for outside. Mine have just now really started liking it. They like to sit in it and eat lunch and put their cups in the holders. They think they are pretty "big kid" when they are in them. Ours was given to us by a friend.

I got my girls the Pottery Barn Kids sectional in hot pink for the playroom. They also have the "Anywhere Chairs" with their names on them. They like to lay together on the sectional when they watch a DVD. It is big enough that it will be useful until they are nearing the teenage years.

Another vote for the flip open sofa. My boys used it from thier first birthday until just recently.

Do they sell the flip-open sofas without all the licensed characters on them? I don't really have anything against Dora and the Disney Princesses per se, but I'd love to find something different, KWIM?

I haven't seen any without characters, ours were care bears.
