We are setting the toddler beds up today and I need a sheet for their beds. What do I do? Also their little lovie blankets aren't going to be big enough for them for long. What did you do?

I had originally planned on getting them into twin beds, but as you may remember - we were forced to switch to beds on vacation (those were twins) and now that I am home and got a great deal on the toddler beds and can use my expensive crib mattresses for a while longer, I am all for it!

What did you do for sheets and blankets etc.?

You can find some online at Amazon. I think I've also seen them at Babies R Us. If you have an IKEA near you they have some really cute kid bedding.

You can order Ikea sheet sets online: check out this page

That's what we did. Bought comforter sets from Ikea. It's a fitted sheet, comforter cover and pillow case. You can buy the little crib-sized pillow and comforter from Ikea too. My boys weren't staying still enough at night at that age to be under a regular sheet. So the comforter worked pretty well (they could turn under it, flip head-to-foot, and stay warm).

I just gave away the bedding :( Too bad. But, another option is to look at Craig's list or ebay. Kids use sheets so gently that it might be a good way to get some really cute bedding inexpensively :)

    Ellen, those are darling!

I have a little quilt thingy with their name on it - although it has hooks to be hung on the wall (fabric loops), so I don't know if it should be used on the bed, it's not quite long enough.

I was thinking of letting the kids help pick out their stuff so they would like it.

We just got the beds up and they threw everything I had on there off anyway, so tonight we'll be flying by the seats of our pants!!

We used the crib sheets that we had since they are the same size and their crib quilts. When it was real cold out I used a fleece throw blanket on their beds (mine had Care Bears). And, I bought solid color pillow cases to match their fitted sheets.

We bought one bed in bag set each at target. Then for extra sheets I used crib sheets for the bottom and for flat sheets.....a twin sheet cut in half works perfect. I did have a friend with a sewing machine sew a seam on the cut end. Walmart has twin sheets for like $2. So for $1 each I got extra sheets.

For blankets someone made the boys those ones out of fleece that you tie the ends.

    Thanks for the ideas!!

I try to stay away from the fleece stuff because the climate is SO dry here that we get a LOT of static build up, but I'll go shopping later and check out all this stuff! YAY! FUN!

We use crib sheets and blankets they've had since they were born. Although I saw some cute toddler bed sets on Target.com.
