Toddler Bed

Our kids are currently in their toddler beds and that has been going well, but I am wondering how long they will stay in those beds. My son is a squirmy sleeper and am thinking he might like the added room of a bigger bed, but don't necessarily want to go out and buy new beds already. How long were you able to use your toddler bed? Thanks.

 

My DH and I are already talking about getting twin beds for the girls because they no longer "fit" in their toddler beds. They've had them right at a year. I think at the most you may get 2 years if your kids are on the small side.

 

For us, they only lasted a month. We transitioned out of cribs to toddler beds Thanksgiving weekend. This past weekend we got the both double beds. Several people told me it would help DS sleep better. :unknw: We were having a horrible time of him getting out of bed at night. The last 2 nights,(since being in a big bed) it has gone from getting up several times throughout the night to only once.

 

A little more than a year. We transitioned to those from cribs until we just put them in bunk beds my mom got them this Christmas. Their room isn't big enough for two twins and if we put a double in nothing else would fit, so we had to do toddler beds until we felt comfortable enough for them to be in bunks. Thankfully, my DD is fearless yet not careless. So, she isn't afraid of the top bunk, but she knows to be careful because she could fall.

 

My son has been in his toddler bed for about 2 years now and he still fits perfectly. He is about the 50th percentile for height and weight.
