I dont know if anyone remembers, but I was pretty upset after my appointment last month...I'd gained 13 pounds and was told to "watch it" and I cried about that for a week. Well I have been weighing myself every day and have not had any fast food at all and only ate dessert on special occassions - like if I went to my parents house and my mom made something, but I have not kept ANY candy, ice cream, or any sweets in the house at all. Well today when they weighed me I supposedly had gained 7 pounds, but their scale is not accurate, it's not a digital scale, and I have been weighing myself EVERY DAY on a digital scale and I am 4 - 5 pounds LESS than what they got today, and I told the doctor that. She said not to worry about it and that I'm doing fine. So this month I gained 5 pounds, HOORAY!!

Also the doctor told me that most of her twin moms make it to 38 weeks!! And I found out that they have been checking my cervix at each u/s, I just had never asked about it before. They checked it again today, and it is still as thick as it was at my 7 week appointment! Then they measured each baby, and they are going to do all this at every appointment from here on out. Both babies are perfectly healthy!! She was able to see so many of their little body parts and measure them, and they are just perfect! She verified that they are both girls, they each weigh 10 ounces, and they even both have the same heart rate at 158 bpm! They each have their own placenta, and they told me that even their placentas are situated in the way they prefer to see them, so it's sounding like this is about as low-risk as a twin pregnancy can get!

I am feeling so great today! I decided to treat myself to Caine's for lunch, from now on I'll let myself eat fast food (Caine's chicken) one time a month, after each good appointment :)

How exciting! What a great change from the last appointment.

I think it is very common for docs to measure cervical length at u/s without the mom realizing. I just posted in another thread that moms should ask what their baseline cervical length is so they know going forward where they started and what if any changes have happened.

    Hope you enjoyed your lunch!
