today is a good day!

DH and I decided months ago I'd stay home with the babies when they are born, and ever since I've been so ready to start staying home but wanted to work for as long as possible. First I was going to make it to the end of July, but I felt so good at the end of July I decided to wait it out 1 more month, and now I've made it! :a_smil09:
I just put in my 2 week notice today, my last day of work is August 30 and then I'm really going to start getting ready for these babies! Hooray! Yay for having a lot of rest and free time to enjoy by myself before the babies are born! I'm so excited! :banana:

Enjoy this time! My husband and I have agreed that I will not work after the babies are born. The cost of daycare for two and commuting makes it not worth it for me to continue working, just daycare in my area plus the commute takes up almost all my take home pay per week.

No, one of the guys I work with started asking me if I was going to quit months ago, when I first found out I was having twins and hadn't decided yet. Then at the beginning of the month I let him know that I was planning on staying until the end of the month, so I think he let my boss know. Then this morning when I turned in my notice my boss told me that he completely understands, that he is a twin so he knows I will have my hands full, and that he thinks I'm making the right decision...(whatever that means!)

:a_smil09: Congrats, I know how you feel because I just turned in my notice yesterday. I will be done on September 7th and I know I will need to get some sleep because I also have a 2 1/2 year old to chase. I will miss work but I am excited to see my kids grow up.

I know how you feel, I have been out since 22 weeks or so, so I've really enjpyed myself. My doctors took me out.... and I haven't officially told my bosses I am not coming back, so they are continuing to ask my best friend, " Is Shannon coming back???"
IT actually makes me mad, if they want to know they should call me!!! I would tell them, but it has nothing to do with her, so why are they asking???

Sorry that turned into a vent!!
