Today I was with my sister and my niece (her grandaughter). She turned 3 in June. It was nice to see that she walked and did not run in 10 different directions. When you told her to do something, she did. When we went back to my sister's house, she did not open the cabinets, play in the toilet, push all the buttons on the tv or climb on the coffee table. No.....that's what my boys were doing. :rotflmbo:

I KNOW they won't be like this forever but when they do the same things day in and day out no matter how many times you tell them no or put them in a time out it drains you. :drown:

I've been having a rough time lately but today I actaully had hope.

Only 1 year and 2 months until they turn 3....I hope I make it.

ETA: Her grandson just turned 2 and she even told me she does not like to watch him because it's just too much work. And this is from a woman who has 5 kids of her own (all grown now) including twin girls.

If you want some more ;) My two were WONDERFUL after they turned 2. Just wonderful. It was like something clicked and the fun part had started.  They didn't live by the terrible two's motto and I loved it.

Hope is a wonderful thing!! Jsut before mine turned 2, our world became much more civilized!! They do have their moments but by and large they are well behaved and actually enjoyable to take out and about!

I love having hope, thanks for this post. It can't stay this way forever I know, but when its the same everyday its hard to see that it will ever end. I have friends that travel with their kids, taking holidays and staying at hotels and everything, and I keep hoping that one day we can do this too...
