So I recently took the gate off the downstairs bathroom and put 2 more potties downstairs, and the boys have learned they get a candy when they pee in the potty, so now they go all day long! I literally go back and forth between the two, exclaiming over the pee, emptying the potty, re-pantsing them and getting the candy. All day long! We are going out of town on Easter weekend so I really don't want to get into fullblown potty training right now. Do u think there's any harm in putting them in pullups for the next two weeks?

Are they in underwear now ? I would say putting them in pull ups is entirely your call. I had mixed results with my twins & training in pull ups. My DD did fine with them and my DS treated them like another form of a diaper. So I would say if you are going to put them in pull ups, I would tell them that their job is to try to keep them dry and tell Mommy when they have to pee. And that the pull ups are special underwear for while we are away. Good luck!

I think if you are just doing the pull-up thing short term (to get you through the Easter holiday), then it should be fine. Especially since they are just starting out and you haven't gone to full blown potty training at this point. However, I, personally, wouldn't recommend using pull-ups as a potty training method. We used pull-ups with DS and I think it confused him/prolonged the process.

1st DS treated pull ups like a diaper… I did NOT plan to use them EVER w/ the twins… but I learned on TS to put on a pair of underwear and when we went out I put a pull up over the underwear to keep the mess minimal and easier to clean up (well, by easier I mean the outer clothes didn’t get gross)… that might be an idea… if you’re afraid of losing momentum in PT

Im a big believer in NO pull ups at all. If your two are peeing all day long. In 3 days you could be done done done with potty training. Once diapers are over, thats it. Underwear it is. Make the leap. You already know they can do it! They've proven it to you. Now show your faith in them and stay away from the pull-ups!

I'm not sure the $$$ of pull ups is worth the convenience of not having to refasten a diaper to be honest.

I think it depends on the kids and how it's done. I was very anti-pullup but my dd ended up needing them for a couple days and we called them "underwear". They were told not to go in them and they weren't even kept in the same place as the diapers. These were special underwear and were only used when needed. My ds still wants to wear them sometimes because the "spefal unerwear has toy sory on it!" LOL I can't tell you how many times he's said that to me  Anyways, mine have very rarely had an accident in a pull up and we're still on the first pack that we bought in January. So who knows, maybe they'll just treat them as underwear :pardon: Good luck!
