Both kids are sick. We went to the pedi yesterday, lungs sound good, no ear infection for ds and dd's it getting better. Otherwise it is just colds and there is nothing they can do for them except ride it out. Oh and no fevers either. The worst of the symptoms is runny noses, congestion and coughing. They are in pretty good spirits and not very fussy considering. Ds has physical therapy this morning. He also gets it 2x a week through EI (dd gets it 1x a week through EI). Thursday mornings I take them through the insurance. Due to circumstances (vacation, illness, Thanksgiving) we have not been there (the pt through insurance) at all during the month of November (and they missed some EI earlier in the month). Today she was going to work with only ds, but I am thinking maybe I should cancel. He had pt through EI on Monday but I canceled the EI yesterday to take them to the pedi. Should I take him today or cancel? What would you do?
We were told that if they had any kind of sickness we had to cancel since they work with other children, they don't want to pass the germs around to the other households. I would cancel. I did have to once or twice.

Hmm, Sarah's speech therapist never said that. My kids are in daycare and most of the kids have colds all winter long, so I guess I'm just used to it, but it would not have occurred to me to cancel if the child seemed to be feeling OK. In fact I took Sarah for speech therapy yesterday -- her cold is not that bad, but she definitely had a runny nose. The therapist sounded worse than Sarah did.
