to call or not to call...what do you think?

Ever since yesterday afternoon (of course, it started AFTER I got home from my peri appt), I have had a dull, deep bruise feeling pain in my upper abdomin. About where baby C should be hanging out...kinda in the center/left. Anyhow, I have an umbilical hernia and I thought for a while that is what it was. But it doesn't really feel the same as my hernia does usually. I have no contractions, spotting, nothing. So should I call or just hang out and see if it goes away (if its the hernia, it should stop hurting...but I would have expected it to stop hurting before I woke up this AM)? It's possible that it's round ligamant pain, but I have never felt it in this area, usually it's down lower.

Any thoughts? I will feel stupid to call if it's my hernia or round ligamant pains.

    Thanks!

I would wait it out a few hours, but if it doesn't get better, call, better to be safe. Sounds like it could be stretching pains, but if your intuition tells you it could be something else, it's better to get it checked out!

So did you call? I hope you are feeling better and that it was just some random pregnancy pain.

I would call especially if you cant' really justify what the pain is, just to be sure even if it is the hernia. Keep us posted.

I had what sounds like a similar type of pain when I was about as far along as you. It was pretty localized just to the right of my belly button and it would hurt if I was walking long distances or on my feet a lot. I could push down on the spot and it would feel sore, but it never moved anywhere else and there were no other symptoms. I never mentioned it to my doc and it went away after a few weeks. I figured it was something stretching out as my belly grew....
