    Hello,

I love this board - I can ask all the embarassing questions I want and you understand! :) The last few days, I've had pain/pressure on my lower intestine... worse when I lay on my left side or when I get up in the middle of the night. I feel best when things are... emptied... in the morning but it still hurts when I walk around too much.

I had an ultrasound yesterday for my cervix check and they didn't see anything abnormal in the area I'm having pain - and I was just thinking maybe the babies are big enough now to really put pressure on my organs and squash them a bit causing pain? They were both head down yesterday, which could explain the lower intestine thing.

    Thanks for your input!

That's definately typical. As they move around and get bigger the pressure will increase at times. Other times, you won't feel any. All goes with it. You sound like you are doing great... get lots of rest and drink lots of water. Good luck!

I definitely know what you are talking about. When the babies are in certain positions I definitely feel the pressure you are talking about. Right now they have both gone breech so it has actually relieved some of the pressure. Now that they are bigger they kick "inward" and it gives me some good kicks to the intestines that take the breathe away. I think it's pretty normal. :)

I had the same thing starting around 17 weeks. I went in and all was ok, and the cervix was fine. My cervix did eventually shorten, but as long as they keep an eye on it for you you can probably just chalk it up to normal baby pressure on your bowels.

HAHA... I was JUST trying to explain this to my hubby last night. For me, babies will kick and all of a sudden I feel like I have to use the bathroom NOW. I run for the toilet and NOTHING. <_<
